CLOSED FOR SEASON
The 2025 Trail to Taproom season has ended.
Thank you for an amazing summer and fall of exploring local trails and drinking local beers.
Stay tuned for our 2026 schedule!
Want to book a private trip?
How it works:
-
Our custom, private trips start at $700 (depending on distance and number of stops).
-
Your private trip includes up to (9) guests – invite your friends, family, or co-workers, and loved ones!
-
We bring your group to a local hiking trail (for a ~3 mile hike) and then to a nearby taproom (brewery, bar, or tasting room).
You choose the stops — and we can help you decide on our most popular trail-to-taproom pairings!
St James Farm Trail + Solemn Oath Brewing
Escape to a farm forest preserve on the outskirts of the city with stops at Solemn Oath Brewing’s Naperville (Oathie's Burger Punchout burger cookoff is this day!). The 4-mile hike at St James Farm Forest Preserve meanders along manicured trails through woods, wetlands, and prairie. Here, great blue heron spotting are common and beautiful views are guaranteed.
Pickup / Dropoff at Solemn Oath taproom in Logan Square (map).
Ryerson Conservation Area + Buffalo Creek Brewing
Take a 3-mile hike at Ryerson Conservation Area through thick forestland that follows alongside the Des Plaines River. Post-hike, grab a beer in the woodsy Biergärten garden at Buffalo Creek Brewing, which is loved for its massive outdoor patio and wide variety of brews on tap.
Pickup / Dropoff at Bitter Pops in Lakeview (map).
Grand Mere State Park + St. Joe Community Taproom [PRIDE]
Celebrate PRIDE with us in Southwest Michigan. We’re headed to St. Joe for some hiking and beers, with proceeds from this trip benefiting The OutCenter of Southwest Michigan.
Take a ~4-mile hike at Grand Mere State Park through woodlands and the sandy shoreline of Lake Michigan. Post-hike, grab a beer at the community-focused St. Joe Community Taproom in downtown St. Joseph and Transient Artisan Ales in Bridgeman. This trip includes a free St. Joe Taproom-branded pint glass + $2 off your first pour.
For folks leaving from Chicago, this event is from 8:30 AM - 6 PM.
Palos Trails + Imperial Oak Brewing (Copy)
Take a ~4-mile hike at Palos Trail System through hilly forest area that will make you forget you’re a stone’s throw away from downtown Chicago. Post-hike, grab a beer and enjoy pizza at Imperial Oak Brewing (pizza and salad included).
