The Adventure: Explore ~3 miles of trail at this lesser-visited forest right on the outskirts of Chicago’s north neighborhoods. Harms Woods sits on the banks of the North Branch of the Chicago River and is a prime spot to check out blooming wildflowers, migrating butterflies, and native birds. Post-hike, we’ll hit up Sketchbook Brewing in Skokie.
Hike Difficulty: Moderate – Ideal for active hikers, these hikes feature more rolling hills and occasional rocky or root-filled sections of the trail.
Hike Distance: ~3 miles | Drive Time: 25 minutes (one way)
Pickup / Dropoff: This trip leaves from / returns to Bitter Pops in Lakeview (map here). Limited metered street parking is available.
What’s Included: Transportation and guided hike. We take care of all the planning and logistics to ensure you have a memorable and exciting adventure.
Food? You can pack a lunch to enjoy at the brewery or grab food from any food trucks on site.
Participation Waiver: All attendees must sign the Trail to Taproom participation waiver before the event starts.
Note: Trail to Taproom does NOT provide alcohol to participants. All hikers must buy their own beverages.
Ticket price includes transportation, guided hike, and post-hike brewery visit.
